Job Description:

We are seeking an Associate BA Manager to join our New York / Boston team.

Reporting to the SVP, Director of BA, the successful candidate will have some employment experience and an enthusiastic desire to dive into the agency world. Involvement either within BA or a tangential role in the industry which would have exposed applicant to SAG, production process, or the role of legal is a plus but not a requirement. A commitment to learn, interest in the nuts and bolts of Business Affairs, and a strong work ethic are critical for this team member. This is the perfect opportunity for the detail oriented and extremely organized candidate to be involved across all agency clients, learn to work with multiple teams and departments, practice negotiation skills, and become literate in the world of SAG.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage smaller scale projects with the support of senior team members and shadow/assist on larger and more intensive initiatives.
  2. Secure all production insurance
  3. Manage authorizations processes
  4. Track music and stock footage license expirations and communicate expirations
  5. Start to understand the basics of the SAG Commercials contract with support from senior team members
  6. Begin to navigate creative decks and look for red flags and potential pitfalls
  7. Attend meetings with senior team members and provide support
  8. Gain an understanding of each role within the agency and build relationships across all departments
  9. Prepare estimates and purchase orders for all Business Affairs related jobs
  10. Locate contact information and obtain permissions for footage, props, apps, quotes, references, etc. used in commercials and videos
  11. Reach out to talent with contracts and releases
  12. Relay information to legal counsel and provide feedback to appropriate teams
  13. Help organize meetings and team calendar

Job Requirements:

  • Four-year degree is required
  • At least two years of work experience
  • Detail-oriented, organized, strong communication skills, can-do attitude, calm disposition, and a team player.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Diplomatic problem solver.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, quick learner.
  • Ability to work independently, but knows when to ask for help.
  • Proven track record of success with remote and/or hybrid work model
