The Development Associate is essential to the day-to-day running of the Development Team, which supports the CEO, the US Executive Leadership Team, and the broader organization in achieving its goals of development, implementation, and delivery of effective and innovative communications and operations. The Development Team is responsible for managing projects, business reporting, and strategic client management initiatives. This role reports directly to the Development Manager and must provide analytical insight and reasoning to support strategic and tactical initiatives across the organization, as well as guide the US Exec Team’s decision-making and problem-solving.


  • Research and Analysis
  • Identify opportunities for new insights and trends that may impact business decisions, short and long-term growth, resource allocation / workforce strategy, investment in partners or acquisition targets, and optimization of tools and systems
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Finance, IT, HR, Legal, M&A and various Dentsu Aegis agency brands in the US, Canada and Latin America, to facilitate the collection of data and information for the CEO
  • Conduct and synthesize research on industry and economic trends, the competitive landscape, and key clients into PowerPoint decks and whitepapers for executive briefings
  • Project Management and Operations
  • Participate in multiple, concurrent projects with external partners and internal cross-functional team members (including quarterly board reports, quarterly budget reviews, triannual client survey presentations, CEO presentations, M&A target analysis, and completing ad-hoc requests from the US Exec Team); execute project plans to meet continuously changing needs and requirements
  • Plan and organize events for the leadership team and senior clients
  • Assist in driving advanced projects through the entire project lifecycle with stakeholders; ensure on-time delivery of agreed-upon tasks in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment; anticipate risks and issues and escalate as needed
  • Track actions and next steps after meetings; responsible for reviewing all materials for the US Exec Team with a focus on accuracy and consistency of data
  • Proactively provide regular updates, progress reports, and anlyses to the Development Team, CEO, US Exec Team, and Global Board
  • Identify new ways for the Development team to work and add value to the leadership team
  • Support administrative and general office requirements as needed



  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related studies
  • Two or more years of work experience in finance
  • Experience in the Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) sector; specialization in DTC is a plus
  • A highly-disciplined self-starter who can think independently and work autonomously; looking for a steep growth curve
  • Highly organized and process driven, with excellent time-management skills and follow-through
  • An aptitude to see the holistic perspective & how the organization comes together, from finance to reporting, while paying great attention to detail
  • Resourceful & able to identify unique solutions to solve complex challenges with limited guidance
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to engage throughout the organization up to the CEO level
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; build the trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialog, and collaborate well with others to meet needs
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with strong skills in Excel (v lookups, pivot tables, simple macros, etc.) and PowerPoint (creating and designing graphs for client presentations)
  • Comfortable in a high-pressure environment; flexible to changing priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining extremely high standards
  • Strong business ethics, discretion, and integrity
