DV is looking for an analytical mind with proven experience finding stories in data to join our Marketing Analytics team. In this role you will work closely with the Marketing, Product, Commercial, and Sales Engineering teams to support the DV story. DV is uniquely positioned in the industry offering unparalleled exposure to top-tier clients across verticals, industry-wide trends, and working in a fast-paced, product-focused environment. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the mining, positioning and sharing of DV’s first-party data for external-facing benchmarking and content marketing
    • Collaborate with Marketing to produce and help publish first-and third-party research
    • Inform and drive thought leadership: Contribute to and deliver on a marketing content calendar
    • Develop research and analyze first-party data sets to inform case studies, whitepapers and reports
    • Develop key insights to be used for product marketing
    • Identify global trends and contribute to benchmarking
    • Identify data stories that showcase the value of DV services for clients and prospects
    • Pull raw data from various sources (database query and/or various UIs) for ad hoc and regular analyses; translate raw data into usable takeaways and actionable insights
    • Contribute to knowledge sharing within the company including proactively identifying case studies and trends
  • Develop, mentor and oversee a small team
    • Evaluate team and individual performance against goals & lead career pathing 
    • Project manage & develop content for onboarding, training, local reporting, templated reporting and ad-hoc analyses
    • Distribute and monitor workload across the team
    • Act as hiring manager for open positions on the team
    • Serve as escalation point for your team on key issues; drive toward solutions for the larger team
    • Optimize team workflows and cross-functional collaboration

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Commensurate years of experience in an analytical capacity (research, data & analytics, or insights)
  • Commensurate experience in the digital media/marketing or ad tech space, with strong preference for digital agency and/or ad tech background
  • Curious, self-starter and an analytical mind – you are not afraid to ask questions
  • Excel and PowerPoint pro – you can do VLOOKUP in your sleep, are a pivot whiz, and can’t get enough of shortcuts; experience mentoring employees to improve these skills
  • Familiarity with relational databases, strong ability to write and edit queries using SQL and/or other database programming languages – big data doesn’t scare you
  • Experience creating dashboards and/or analyzing data within data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a cross-departmental team – you will be at ease switching from conversations with the marketing team to the data team and speak their respective languages appropriately
  • Experience finding interesting, actionable insights within vast data sets to tell a story
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: Thoroughly comfortable leading & contributing to executive-level presentations & discussions
  • Strong project management skills for long-term projects with many stakeholders
  • Experience leading small teams of analysts or similar roles – hiring, onboarding & people management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with third-party research providers such as eMarketer
  • Content marketing or copywriting experience
  • College coursework in statistics, information technology, computer science, business and/or marketing
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce
