The Opportunity:

The Senior Director, Revenue Marketing is central to our overall growth and the development of GIPHY’s branded content offering for marketers. Based in New York, this role will oversee our revenue marketing strategy as well as collaborate with our corporate marketing team to elevate GIPHY’s profile holistically. This person will lead a team of two at the outset, inclusive of Product Marketing and a research and measurement specialist, to be hired. This position will support the Revenue team, reporting into our VP, Revenue, as well as collaborate closely with our B2C Marcom team and will have access to design resources.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the planning, and execution of our annual revenue marketing strategy, aimed at achieving the business objectives set forth by the Revenue team
  • Collaborate with other functional teams and allocate resources to define the overall marketing growth strategy for our products in the US
  • Manage the revenue marketing budget
  • Own and oversee the execution of in-market events to help raise the GIPHY profile to brands and agencies
  • Lead, empower & grow the Sales Marketing team as a player-coach
  • Oversee in collaboration with our product marketing the positioning of our branded content products for marketers, input on product-market fit, and collaborate with relevant teams (e.g. press, design, etc.) on the communication of GIPHY products across various mediums, from sales decks to web, video and external comms
  • Find creative and meaningful ways to bring GIPHY’s value proposition to life in order to differentiate our platform and drive consideration
  • Manage and monitor all lead generation activities (events, paid media, content, etc) in close conjunction with sales and sales operations
  • Work with product management to position features and innovation to benefit new and existing customers and differentiate from competition
  • Provide strategic direction and input to product marketing and branding strategy with your deep knowledge on market insights and industry trends


Who You Are:

  • The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of brands and the ability to calibrate campaigns and events to meet their needs
  • 10+ years experience in marketing for a martech or adtech company
  • 3-5+ years experience leading a marketing team
  • Excited and familiar with running or working on a team that supports revenue growth: presentations, one-sheets, events, case studies that ensure new business success and growth
  • Budget-conscious and resourceful in finding ways to maximize ROI
  • Excited by the prospect of operating a lean team while collaborating closely with multiple teams
  • Experience building and managing a full-funnel marketing budget and calendar
  • Healthy relationship with both the art and science of marketing – you love data but understand how to interpret/ supplement it with the right creative context
