CafeMedia Ad Management (CAM), the team dedicated to serving CafeMedia’s largest customers, is seeking a Strategic Account Manager who is passionate about data and building strong relationships.

 

The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for supporting client relationships and assisting in managing performance, both at the request of clients as well as internally to optimize performance. The ideal candidate is a programmatic expert with a publisher-first mentality and the knowledge and expertise to effectively support publisher stakeholders and executives. The Account Manager will take a consultative approach to developing deep customer relationships and collaborate closely with a number of internal, cross-functional teams, reporting to the Director of Strategic Accounts.

 

 What you’ll be doing: 

  • Serving as the primary contact for clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Providing excellent customer service to clients by assisting with all of their requests and needs
    • Ensuring timely and accurate onboarding for new clients by coordinating with internal teams involved in the process and communicating onboarding needs and expectations to the clients
    • Proactively providing regular check-ins once a partner goes live – in-person and using video conferencing tools
    • Preparing and leading Quarterly Business Reviews for all accounts within the  book of business
    • Monitoring and analyzing performance for each partner and addressing any performance shifts – both positive and negative
    • Consulting with yield and revenue teams to optimize performance and programmatic stack
    • Providing reporting access and leading walkthrough sessions of publisher dashboards
    • Leading training and knowledge-share sessions for partners to further their industry education and act as a subject matter expert in programmatic 
    • Helping manage a variety of direct campaigns and PMP deals – QA set up, checking performance, pacing monitoring, reporting  
  • Communicating with the sales and marketing teams to provide data needed for sales forecasts and client proposals
  • Optimizing client direct campaigns for a variety of success metrics – seeking opportunities to improve campaign performance
  • Assuring publisher optimization plans are implemented internally and communicated externally to partner (client/agency)
  • Facilitating external reporting, billing and payment questions
  • Developing expertise in the changing digital landscape by keeping up to date with the latest trends
  • Assisting the team in improving internal processes and communication across all teams

 

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the job:

  • 3+ years digital account management experience at an internet publisher, ad tech platform or internet media buying agency
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the digital media industry (social media, SEO, etc.), programmatic buying, ad operations and/or audience retargeting experience preferred
  • Exceptional communicator; prior client-facing project management experience required
  • Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail; organized and process driven
  • Experience using pivot tables and data visualization platforms
  • Familiarity with viewability, in-demo and brand safety tracking a plus
  • BA/BS
