WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:  
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven TV Advertising Sales Account Executive to join our local market sales team, based in NYC. This hybrid role combines transactional sales—managing existing and cultivating new relationships and high-volume, quick-turnaround requests —with developmental sales, which focuses on building long-term strategic partnerships with key clients and agencies. The ideal candidate is both a deal-closer and a relationship-builder, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

HOW YOU’LL BE CONTRIBUTING: 

  • Transactional Sales:
    • Manage a portfolio of existing clients with regular advertising needs.
    • Respond quickly to inbound inquiries and RFPs with tailored media plans.
    • Negotiate rates, close deals, and ensure timely campaign execution.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications in CRM systems.
    • Maximum client-engagement.
  • Developmental Sales:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across linear, streaming, and emerging sectors.
    • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key advertisers and media agencies.
    • Develop strategic proposals that align with client marketing objectives.
    • Collaborate with content, production, and digital teams to create integrated advertising solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE: 

  • Media sales (ad agency/rep firm/broadcast station/cable affiliate/network) experience preferred
  • Comprehension of spot cable and ability to clearly present its attributes to advertisers
  • Clear understanding of media math
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills

The range listed is just one component of Ampersand’s total rewards package for employees. Salary Range Transparency  
This role has a base salary of $65,000 – $105,000 and commission.
