About She Runs It
She Runs It is a Century+ old organization with roots and origins in membership and service to a community united in its intention to see more women as leaders. Established in 1912 – eight years before the 19th Amendment was ratified – as “League of Advertising Women”, She Runs It has evolved to be a global organization with a mission to pave the way for more women to lead at every career level. For us, “She” stands for every individual who experiences the challenges women face in marketing, media, and tech…and all of their allies. We exist to help our community stay strong, current, connected and included.
The Role
The Director, Business Development & Partnerships is responsible for bringing in corporate partnership, sponsorship, and ticket business with She Runs It. In addition, they are responsible for managing an account manager and coordinating sponsorship and ticket sale activities with an events and marketing coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Secure new business & renew/expand upon existing business with companies in our industry (Marketing, Media, or Ad Tech) that are /could be corporate alliance partners
- Pitch prospects with sponsorship opportunities
- Suggest executive class memberships for senior women within corporate alliance partner companies
- Building strong client relationships with the current roster of She Runs It clients in order to retain business.
- Sell tickets and tables to 25+ events hosted annually by She Runs It.
- Work with the She Runs It events department to ensure they have all sponsorship materials for events. Details could include confirming addresses, identifying sponsor attendees, and getting proof approvals on sponsor deliverables.
- Present 50+ corporate partnerships with mid-year and year-end reviews to highlight how She Runs It has delivered on its partnership for their company
- Reconcile all She Runs It partnerships, sponsorship, and ticket funding with the accounting department.
- Staff Liaison of two She Runs It volunteer committees
- Manage account manager.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of similar work experience
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Comfortable in a client-facing capacity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment
- Excellent communication skills and swift response times
- Creative problem-solver
- Current on all industry trends
- Strong team player
