It’s time for our annual salute to the women who raise businesses while also raising children. The She Runs It Working Mothers of the Year Awards honor those outstanding, multitasking moms who work in the marketing and media industry, serve as strong role models and mentors to others, and who inspire their co-workers, families and communities through their talent and tenacity. This year we are also incorporating a new category: Best Companies for Working Mothers, an annual recognition of the organizations who help mothers succeed at work and at home with a new category.

Who is eligible for Working Mothers?
While we recognize that working fathers are equally remarkable, this particular award –in line with the mission of She Runs It – is focused primarily on working moms. This award is open to She Runs It members and non-members, alike.
If you have a colleague, friend, mentor or role model who inspires you with her ability to balance a full-time career with a full tilt family, this is your opportunity to celebrate her. And if that remarkable woman is you, we encourage you to submit your own information.
What are the categories for this award?
New-to-Motherhood Moms – Oldest child is 6 or younger.
Established Moms – Oldest child is between the ages of 7 and 17
Trailblazer Moms – Oldest child is 18+
This year, we have added a new category – Best Companies for Working Mothers
What is Best Companies for Working Mothers?
Our newest category, Best Companies for Working Mothers, is a salute to the companies that offer policies and practices that empower women to navigate the dual challenges of work and family. The winning companies will be recognized at the 2018 Working Mothers of the Year event and celebrated through She Runs It content (social/web), and publicity efforts.
How do I nominate my company?
If you work for a company that paves the way for women to succeed as mothers and leaders, tell us how your organization creates that environment. We are looking for family-friendly policies, perks, and specific statistics that tangibly demonstrate the strides your company is taking to support working mothers.
When are applications due?
The extended deadline for Working Mothers of the Year and Best Companies for Working Mothers is Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 5:00 pm EST. Submissions received after this date and incomplete applications will not be considered.
When is the 2018 Working Mothers of the Year Awards?
Monday, February 26th, 2018 in New York City. All honorees are expected to attend the award luncheon.
