New York; (July 1, 2019) – She Runs It today announced the addition of six new directors to its board. The new members include Michelle Aragon, SVP Business Solutions, Magna Global; Catherine Davis, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, Feeding America; Angela Johnson, US Head Account Management, Dentsu Aegis Network; Lucia Ballas-Traynor, EVP Client Partnerships, Hemisphere Media Group, Inc.; Beth Superfin, SVP, Content Partnerships Turner Warner Media Portfolio Strategy & Solutions, Warner Media; and Maria Weaver, Chief Marketing Officer, Comcast Advertising.

Board members are chosen to ensure a balance of executives representing the marketing ecosystem. They are identified by current board members and a nominating committee that surfaces a diverse slate of candidates who have a proven ability to shape and influence the trajectory of women as leaders.
She Runs It was founded in 1912 by two journal editors who wanted to counter the exclusive, all-male advertising league that existed. It later rebranded as Advertising Women of New York; then in 2016, the organization changed its name to She Runs It and began a national expansion campaign, launching first in Chicago and scheduled for launch in San Francisco by the end of 2019.
The She Runs It board is responsible for co-managing the organization’s many services and programs that are designed to propel women into leadership positions. These include the national expansion campaign; the industry’s most expansive mentoring program (nearly 400 mentoring pairs), oversight of the agency’s Loan Relief Program, which has donated $600,000 to women since its inception; as well as inclusion and diversity measurement initiatives, training programs, networking opportunities and recognition events that spotlight outstanding working moms, game-changers and more.
