According to the U.S Census Bureau, the gender wage gap narrowed by less than one cent in 2020, while working women’s median income decreased by 1.2%, and gender differences in negotiation outcomes may be one of the largest contributors. Given such inequities, women need to lean in and hone their ability to calculate their worth, be more assertive, and ask for what they deserve.
These skills were explored on December 9th, when She Runs It and Until There Are Nine – an educational network and resource group that helps women advocate for their rightful share of compensation and rewards – hosted The Art of Negotiation. The event illuminated a lot of valuable insights about how women can negotiate their worth.
