DEI Progress: A Tool Purpose-Built for Marketing
By Lynn Branigan
On December 12, companies in the marketing, media, and adtech sectors of our industry will have access to a new DEI measurement tool that has been tailored for our business and streamlined for ease of completion. The tool is the Seramount Marketing, Media, and Adtech Inclusion Index, made possible by a significant investment from She Runs It.
The tool has been designed to make measurement progress against DEI commitments as frictionless and barrier-free as possible. It requires no financial investment … aside from the time it will take to complete the survey (it’s a corporate survey, not an employee survey). Informed by six years of research and dialogue generated through #Inclusive100, it illuminates an actionable roadmap for companies determined to create more inclusive workforces and workplaces.
One of the most powerful aspects of the new tool is that it has the ability to provide segmentation insights. In other words, if seven companies per sector complete the application, the tool will produce an apples-to-apples data comparison by sector (e.g. marketer, media agency, adtech company, PR firm, etc. For the first time, your company can understand how you compare to similar companies.
You can register for the survey right now by clicking here. The survey opens officially on Dec 12. You can also learn more about #Inclusive100 here, or send an email to Nadia@sherunsit.org. As a 501c3 non-profit, we are also seeking sponsors to help offset the cost of the investment to create the tool, so please express your interest when you send an email to Nadia.
This tool comes at a pivotal moment when our industry is experiencing waning momentum behind the DEI pledges and initiatives that were so strong three years ago … and when recent world events continue to punctuate the divisions and divides that need to be repaired. Progress is possible. Please register for the survey or reach out to us for more information today.
