All In A Week’s Work

By Lynn Branigan

Full confession: I love Advertising Week in NYC. It’s noisy and crowded, yet it’s a week when the entire industry turns its eyes to marketing and its feet to New York. As in previous years, She Runs It will take full advantage of the critical mass of marketing, media and tech professionals converging on the City.

On Tuesday, 9/24, an outstanding panel of experts will help us demystify Artificial Intelligence during our Media Insights Breakfast. AI adoption in organizations has tripled and Forbes reporter Marty Swant will drill into topics like machine learning, neural learning, and the importance of addressing bias in the use of this technology with several thought leaders. For more information and tickets, click here.

Wednesday’s (9/25) breakfast session revisits a popular franchise for She Runs It: The Best of the Badass Bosses. This is an opportunity to learn from C-Suiters who are shattering the glass ceiling and pulling others up to join them, and the panel will be moderated by Pulitzer Prize winning NYT reporter Emily Steel. You can fuel your own courage with the lessons they share, and following the panel discussion you will also have an opportunity to participate in intimate roundtable conversations hosted by senior executives in marketing, media & tech. Tickets are here.

On Thursday 9/26 we will take the Advertising Week Impact stage for an #Inclusive100 (formerly IDAC) conversation. Titled Gender Equality: It’s Complicated, we will leverage the findings of our second annual DPB Index to surface corporate best practices that speak to the intersectionality of gender. This session will spotlight some of the most inclusive practices and programs orchestrated by leading companies – many of them surfaced through #Inclusive100* – that effectively lift women of all colors, cultures, choices and identities. I’m going to lead a conversation with Mita Mallick (Unilever), Bill Moseley (AT&T) and Carol Watson (Diversity Best Practices). If you or your company has purchased tickets to Advertising Week, please put this session on your agenda. She Runs It members can receive 10% off of Adv Week tickets by clicking here. If you aren’t going to Advertising Week but want to attend our session, please stay tuned. We will be sharing a link to a limited number of session tickets within the next few days.

Hope to see you in New York later this month.
