By

Hometown? Larchmont, New York

Current job title and company? Senior Account Executive, Teads

Describe your career journey. My career journey has been rooted in ad sales across many disciplines within media and communications. For the first couple of years, I worked in sales support and assisted a team in everything that they did: prospecting, proposals, client support, campaign launches, events & entertaining, and beyond. I was working with a very dynamic sales and management team at Meredith Corp, and had the fortune of working for some fantastic women that still serves as mentors for me today. After 5+ years at Meredith, I headed to Hearst, where I worked on world-class brands. Within nearly 5 years at the company, I was able to sell some of the most exciting and innovative programming of my career.

With a goal of diversifying my experience, I wanted to transition into the digital and ad technology space. I recently joined Teads, a global leader in digital advertising. I’m extremely excited to be a part of a company that has been named one of Inc.’s Best Workplace of 2017, Inc.’s 5000 Fastest Growing Companies, and Crain’s Best Places to Work in NYC 2017.

How has She Runs It helped you personally and/or professionally? She Runs It has been pivotal both personally and professionally for me. In June, I will be a 10-year member of the organization and have received too many benefits to list as a Young Executive, Mentor, Board Member, and Ambassador. But, in short, it has provided me mentorship as well as the ability to serve as a mentor to young women in our business. It has provided me endless content to learn, develop, ponder, and apply to my own life at all of the thought-leadership, career development, and flagship awards events. It has provided me friendship, perspective, and connections to like-minded women across several disciplines in our business. Most importantly, it has been a home for me while I continue to navigate this ever-evolving business.

Name a woman who inspires you and why. There are endless women in our business and celebrities that inspire me. But, the women who have inspired me the most in my life are my mother and my aunt. They both are strong-willed, motivated, intelligent, hard working women who blazed trails in both of their prospective educations and careers. They served as ever-present inspirations to me as a young girl through the present, and I am forever grateful.

How can members tap into She Runs It ambassadors? The ambassador program is new, and is something I’m extremely excited about. Members can tap into Ambassadors by finding them at events as a familiar face to connect with and talk to, as well as sit with them at some of the awards/table events if you’re attending individually. You can reach out or approach any of the ambassadors about membership, events, and information. Tap into any ambassador that you meet, and they will help you navigate this organization.

What do you think is the best kept secret of She Runs It? The best kept secret of She Runs It is the VIP Silent Auction for Young Executives. If you’re a young executive in our business (30 and under), and you’re not attending, you’re missing out. It is one of the most comprehensive lists of VIPs and Executives in our business who are volunteering their time and resources. You will not see a better lineup, and should absolutely take advantage.

Also, being part of a committee and doing specific committee-focused work is the best kept secret as well. Attending an event that you helped produce is a very fulfilling experience.

What are the top 3 member benefits that you feel are important for someone considering joining the organization? The Mentor/Mentee Program, networking opportunities, the ability to activate the network as a member, and committee involvement and opportunities.

Which three words would you use to describe your personality? Tenacious, Persistent, Outgoing/Funny
