Event: Winter Mentoring Kickoff

Join us for our bi-annual She Runs It mentoring kickoff meeting for NYC members. Newly paired mentors, mentees, and those in group mentoring will have the opportunity to connect, perhaps for the very first time, and learn more about their joint commitment to the 2020 Mentoring Program. It will also be an opportunity to meet with both the Mentoring Program Committee Members and the She Runs It team who make this program happen.

Enjoy an evening of networking centered around mentorship, with Q&A time to help you make the most out of your mentoring relationship.

Mentees: here’s what you can do in preparation…

• Send an introductory email to your mentor if you haven’t yet
• Find out if your mentor will be in attendance; still plan on attending even if they cannot
• Be sure to look up your mentor’s headshot on LinkedIn to familiarize yourself with them
• Pay attention to attendees’ badges differentiating mentors from mentees while at the event 

We’ve partnered with the Woman to Woman program (through Food Bank NYC) to collect donations of feminine care + personal hygiene products.

Nearly one million women and girls in New York City live in poverty, forcing them to make impossible compromises between purchasing essentials – like feminine hygiene and personal care products – and paying for other basic needs, like food & rent.

Let us give back, and help to ease that burden for women all over NYC. Attendees are encouraged to bring items such as feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, etc. and you’ll automatically be entered to win a prize!
