New York City isn’t only the advertising capital of the world – it’s also the birthplace of salsa — an up-tempo performance of percussive Latin music and Afro-Caribbean-infused dance.
On July 21st, the She Runs It Multicultural Alliance invites members and friends to a private tour of the Rhythm and Power, Salsa in New York exhibit at The Museum of the City of New York. The exhibit illuminates salsa as a social movement from the 1960’s to today. Following the tour, we’ll head over to Amor Cubano to kick off the weekend with mojitos and snacks. Please join us for this tasty experience of Latino New York!
Meet the She Runs It team at 3:45 outside the museum’s main entrance on Fifth Ave. between 103rd and 104th Street. Registration includes museum entry, privite tour, one drink ticket and appetizers.
