Current or most recent job title and company? Account Executive, Inside Sales at Nielsen

Briefly describe your career journey. I’ve spent all three years of my career at Nielsen, starting off as a Research Analyst, developing digital Ad Effectiveness surveys. After a year and a half, I decided to transition to a client-facing role to develop those skills further and took on the role of Account Executive in Client Consulting, where I was aligned with a large digital client and managed delivery of our scaled solutions. Most recently, after a year on my previous team, I began a new role this April as an Account Executive in Inside Sales, supporting sales of a variety of ad campaign effectiveness solutions to new and existing clients. I’ve enjoyed the path I’ve taken so far, and am thankful that Nielsen has supported my professional growth and encouraged my movement across functions.

Which three words would you use to describe your personality? Curious, Collaborative, and Open

Name a woman who inspires you and why. I’ve been particularly blessed to have spent my life, both professionally and personally, surrounded by women who are not only strong, but confident, resilient, and compassionate. One of my main sources of inspiration comes from my best friend, Brigid Overton. Brigid consistently embodies the idea of living life as authentically as possible, to keep a good sense of humor about all things (no matter how stressful things may seem!), and to remember that “no” is a complete sentence. When I feel I’m stumbling either at work or otherwise, I feel so lucky to be able to turn to her, if not for advice, then at least for a reminder as to how I want to be managing my professional ambitions with my personal passions. To say she is an inspiration feels like an understatement, but regardless, I’m glad to have her influence in my life.

What committees/programs are you involved in with She Runs It? The Northeast Multicultural Committee

What’s been one highlight for you in working with the Northeast Multicultural committee? The team is so lovely and welcoming; I mentioned that I was interested in getting more involved with the committee and taking on more responsibility outside of our monthly meetings, so the team created a new Secretary role for me to take on. I’ve truly appreciated their openness to my request and am looking forward to getting further involved in new programming and initiatives within the committee.

Are you back in the office yet, or what is your work situation currently regarding in-person, remote or hybrid? Currently remote, but we’ll be transitioning back to the office in a hybrid structure starting in August
