Hometown?  Chicago, IL

Current job title and company?  Sales Manager / Multicultural , Pandora + SoundCloud

Describe your career journey.  Passionate & uncharted.  I started my career at Harpo Productions uncovering cultural insights and pitching concepts for the Oprah Winfrey Show.  I then shifted over to Univision as a Digital Sales Assistant where I was really introduced to this wild industry of innovation, hustle & community.  I learned the ins & outs of media math and cultural tentpoles working my way through Planning and ultimately into Sales.  When Pandora launched a Multicultural division I made the move into the music streaming world where I continue to work with brands to help them win with multicultural consumers.  I tend to be in a position of challenging the status quo & encouraging brands to be intentional – both with new media platforms and growing multicultural audiences.

Which three words would you use to describe your personality?  Bold. Creative. Adventurous.

Name a woman who inspires you and why.  My mom is someone who maximizes each day, each experience & each relationship to its fullest. She naturally incorporates her leadership, marketing, philanthropic & international talents into everything she does in work and life.  She definitely inspires me to keep the big picture top of mind.

What committees/programs are you involved in with She Runs It?  I joined the Multicultural committee and I can tell you that these girls all Run It. This is an inclusive, forward thinking, get ish done & fun group of women. I’m so honored to be a part of it.

What advice would you give to fellow new members in making the most of their membership?  Jump in, don’t wait.  It’s refreshing to step outside of your day to day to connect with women who bring a range of talents to this dynamic industry.

What does the words “She Runs It” mean to you?  She owns it.  She embraces it.  She pushes forward.  Most importantly, she understands growth comes from outside of her comfort zone.
