By She Runs It

Hometown? Brooklyn NY

Prior job title and company? Most recent job title was EVP, Managing Director at a global media agency here in NY.

Describe your career journey. This business has allowed me to meet amazing people across New York, Detroit, Chicago, and globally.  I’ve learned from some of the smartest and most respected leaders in our industry, and I’ve been fortunate to have mentored others who now are leaders in our industry at the agency and brand side.

What committees/programs are you involved in with She Runs It?  I’m Co-Chair of the She Runs It Multicultural Alliance for the 3rd year running. And, most recently, I’ve worked with the Executive Achievements Committee on 2019 programming.

How has She Runs It helped you personally and/or professionally? She Runs It has opened doors to other like-minded individuals who serve as my support circle. And, personally I’ve made great friends and brunch buddies through the organization as well.

Name a woman who inspires you and why. Without question, my mother continues to inspire me; she leads our family in strength, love and great southern cooking.

Which three words would you use to describe your personality? Curious, impatient, extroverted-introvert

As Co-Chair of the Multicultural Alliance, what are some exciting things you are currently working on within the committee? Our 2018/2019 Alliance calendar includes an ongoing Speaker Series, the 5th Annual Multicultural Alliance Bootcamp in 2019, aligning with Organizations to increase the diversity talent pool from the entry level to the C-Suite and then track measurable results.  And, last, the Alliance is expanding to the Chicago market in early 2019, which we’re super excited about.

Can you describe the annual Multicultural Alliance Bootcamp, and why it is an event that members don’t want to miss? The Multicultural Alliance Bootcamp is a half-day event that’s designed to support and inspire across all experience levels of women in our industry. Bootcamp addresses priority topics around career, finance and wellness, through a cultural lens that is relevant to professionals who are dedicated to making our industry more diverse.  I am so proud to say that we are heading into the 5th year of Bootcamp programming—and the Alliance team looks forward to making it a fantastic gathering for members and supporters in 2019. I hope you’ll join us!
