About the Foundation
The She Runs It Foundation advocates for more inclusive workplaces and cultures so that women of all ethnicities, backgrounds and identities can succeed in marketing, media and tech. The Foundation addresses deficits in the industry by focusing on corporate advocacy and long-term systems change.
Three Pillars of Support
#Inclusive100
An initiative launched in 2018 by She Runs It, #Inclusive100 has been measuring inclusion and diversity across marketing, media, and tech using a measurement-based tool that pivots on the rigorous Seramount Inclusion Index, a standard setting corporate DE&I benchmark, augmented by dynamic quarterly roundtable conversations. In 2023, She Runs It launched the first industry-specific survey with Seramount called the Marketing, Media, and AdTech Inclusion Index.
Education Loan Grant
Women bear the heaviest burden of student loan debt, and that debt can equal 3 to 4 times her annual salary early in her career. Since launching this program in 2012, She Runs It has paid nearly $2 million to alleviate the burden of education debt for rising stars in the industry.
START Accelerator
Launched in 2022, this program helped women of color entrepreneurs transform their early-stage ideas into business plans by providing the cohort with support, mentorship, and capital.
Board Composition
Foundation board members are industry executives from marketing, media and tech who fill one of three criteria:
- They represent Corporate Alliance Partner companies that invest $75,000 per year to She Runs It
- They are individuals who have philanthropic expertise and interest in She Runs It’s mission and are willing to aid in fostering connections and in fundraising
- They are DEI executives who can help guide She Runs It in prioritizing our DEI efforts to provide greater support to our members and our industry.
