Why Join

What our members say

The most powerful evidence of our success in lifting women to their full potential is expressed in their own words.

My advice to both existing and new members, is to take advantage of everything you can- whether it’s virtual, whether it’s in person. Because you’re always going to take something away from it, whether it’s some sort of new industry technology, something self help, something in meditation, something just for yourself.

I was a new mom feeling relatively isolated in my career at that moment, and started the mentorship program and met some wonderful women, made incredible connections, developed friendships, created bridges with other companies and jobs and all sorts of stuff. It’s a wonderful community.

I have been a member of She Runs It for about two years now, and my advice to members, I would say, honey, run, don’t walk and join today. She Runs It is truly an amazing organization because it pours into its members and empowers women to go out and be great, and that’s more than you can ask for.

The 2019 Multi-Cultural Bootcamp was the event that really kicked off my participation with She Runs It. The in person experience was extremely engaging from the keynote to the panelists to the networking ice breakers.

After attending an initial recruiting event last month in Detroit, I quickly signed up to be a member. From there I joined the Midwest Leadership Development Committee and volunteered on a sub-comittee planning the first-ever event in Detroit for “Badass Bosses” in July 2025. I am looking forward to networking outside of my existing region and attending events. Detroit is very Automotive heavy, and we have so much to learn from other industries when it comes to great brand marketing.

She Runs It offers unique opportunities for women at every career stage, especially in marketing, media, and tech. To make the most of your membership, I recommend attending events and joining a committee, as they provide excellent opportunities for networking and professional development.
