I have been an official member since February 2024, but have been able to attend events and connect with members since 2023.
What committees/programs are you involved in within She Runs It?
I am currently a member of the Young Executives Committee, as well as the Volunteer Committee. I am also involved in the Mentorship Program via 1:1 mentoring, and take part in our monthly Power Poker nights!
What advice would you give to fellow She Runs It members to make the most of their membership?
My advice to fellow members can be summed up in a simple, yet powerful saying: Put Good In, Get Good Out. She Runs It is an organization that provides our community with a surplus of resources and tools to assist us in becoming the best versions of our professional (and personal) selves. Like any other area of our lives, we ultimately have control over our experience because we have the ability to participate as much or as little as we see fit. So take what you need, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and get involved, every experience comes with a valuable lesson.
What advice would you give to someone looking to join our organization?
My advice to those looking to join SRI would be to take a chance on yourself, because you are worth the investment. Whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned vet, there is always going to be the opportunity to evolve. “Complacency is the enemy of progress.”
What is something you are currently working on professionally that excites you?
I recently got promoted, so I have been busy preparing myself for the next phase of my career. I’ve been taking Linkedin courses, studying up on the ever-evolving media industry, and gathering advice from fellow members. I am undeniably blessed with a strong support system and the SRI community that urges me to think creatively, ask hard questions, and take chances.

What committees/programs are you involved in within She Runs It?
Midwest Young Executive Committee, Midwest Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee, and I am working with others to plan the Midwest Mentor/Mentee Meetup for August
What advice would you give to fellow She Runs It members to make the most of their membership?
I would make the most out of every opportunity and event that She Runs It has. I would also immerse yourself in the community and try to foster real relationships in and outside of the events.
What advice would you give to someone looking to join our organization?
My advice for anyone looking to join is to think of what you want to get out of the organization before you join. You are the only person who can cultivate your experience to what you need. Do you want to grow your network? Join the events. Do you want to get 1:1 advice? Join the mentorship program. Do you want to expand your industry knowledge? Attend the workshops. Do you want to share your voice and plan events? Join a committee.
What is something you are currently working on professionally that excites you?
Recently I got promoted from planner to account manager. I now am learning to strategize and plan beyond the campaign cycle. Getting the opportunity to navigate the industry in a different way has been exciting.

I currently live in Chicago, IL. I am a born and raised Chicagoan and have lived here my whole life!
What part of the industry do you work in?
I work in the Media industry, specifically working in the Advertising Sales sector at the moment.
How long have you been a She Runs It Member?
I have been a She Runs It member since February 2024, but I have been involved in the organization since early 2023 (attending networking events, panels, etc).
What committees/programs are you involved in within She Runs It?
I am involved within the mentoring program as a current mentee, as well as the fabulous monthly Poker Power group!
What advice would you give to fellow She Runs It members to make the most of their membership?
Your membership experience is truly what YOU make of it. Get involved as much as you can! I have made so many genuine connections with such incredible individuals because of She Runs It and have grown immensely as a person, both professionally and personally. I am beyond grateful to be a part of such an amazing organization!!
What advice would you give to someone looking to join our organization?
She Runs It has something for everyone to be involved in. As a professional, it’s important to stay informed on industry news, hear new perspectives, and continue to develop your professional network – no matter what stage of your career you’re in. There’s no reason not to join!
What is something you are currently working on professionally that excites you?
I am currently working on expanding my knowledge within the media landscape by taking Professional Google Ads Certification courses in my free time. Knowledge is power and there is always so much more to learn no matter what industry you’re in; especially for me as I am still in the early stages of my career!
