For the first time in history, people are spending more time with their mobile devices than they are watching TV, and smartphones dominate the majority of their attention (70% says eMarketer). People rely on their smart phones to get directions, purchase products, find information and pass the time. The one thing they don’t want their smart phones to deliver is advertising. What’s a brand to do? More than ever, marketers need to heed consumers’ preferences, desires and expectations if they hope to create acceptable mobile content. This conversation will explore the most successful strategies to capture smartphone users’ attention and affection, and how to propel brands onto a screen designed to restrict them.
