Female advocacy and empowerment can often come from unexpected sources. Given the role that men play in the business of marketing, they have a lot of influence on the shape and face of an organization, and many male leaders are fierce advocates for women as leaders. In this session, male leaders and influencers will share their ‘aha’ moments and personal stories that elevated them from apathy to action in the movement for gender parity and inclusion.
Moderator: Lynn Branigan, President and CEO, She Runs It
Nikki Buchanan, Director, West Coast Sales – Multicultural/National SME, Pandora
Michael Tresvant, VP-Brand Partnerships, Valence Media
Lizette Williams, Global Head of Vertical Solutions Marketing, Facebook
John Cayer, President, Mueller Sports Medicine
Safe Space in Unsafe Times
The disproportionate impact of COVID-19, systemic racism and inequities in the workplace have left Black and Brown people in a suspended state of “fight or flight” for months. With many BIPOC simply too exhausted to do the heavy-lifting of educating colleagues, what role can allies play? And how can one’s own resourcefulness create some sense of peace? In this mini-workshop, we’ll explore ways to be more proactive and intentional, together.
Speaker: Shameka M. Brown, CEO & Certified Executive Coach, The Only One There®
Member Ticket: $50 | Non-Member Ticket: $75 | Young Executive Member $25
