What is that popular phrase? Change is the only constant? It’s true in our lives and its particularly true in our industry. Technology, consumers, culture, and business models seem to evolve at lightning speed. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, a new platform, tool, or challenge shows up and everything shifts again.
That’s why She Runs It is launching FutureProof, a new initiative designed to prepare women – and everyone who champions them – for the leadership demands of tomorrow. Our goal is simple. It’s also ambitious. We intend to help our community anticipate what’s next and to develop the skills, tools, and strategies required to thrive in an industry that shifts at breakneck speed.
FutureProof isn’t just about reacting to change; it’s about leading it. We want participants to walk away not only with sharper skills but also with the agility and confidence to step forward when others hesitate. In practice, that means equipping people with the capabilities to lead diverse teams, embrace emerging technologies like AI, manage through disruption, preserve their own mental capacity, and make purpose-driven decisions that drive both business results and cultural impact.
The program will be multifaceted. It’s going to start with a workshop on Thursday, November 20th at 11 am ET (more details to come, keep an eye on our website), and will continue with quarterly content and thought leadership. Each session will be curated to focus on meeting the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
FutureProof reflects the mission at the heart of She Runs It: to create pathways for women to lead at every level of their careers. By helping our members develop the resilience, adaptability, and vision to succeed, we are also helping our industry become more inclusive, adaptable, and prepared.
I’ve long believed that leadership is less about knowing all the answers and more about being ready to ask the right questions, take risks, and bring others along. FutureProof will help our members build that kind of readiness.
The future will always be unpredictable. But with the right preparation, we can also capitalize on all of its potential.
