International Women’s Day has been around for more than a century. So has She Runs It.
I’ve often said I long for the day when our organization doesn’t need to exist. A day when gender equity is no longer something we fight for, but something we simply experience. When opportunity is guaranteed. When leadership reflects the world around us. When fairness isn’t aspirational. It just is.
I don’t see that day yet. But I do believe it’s possible. And I hope that 100 years from now, someone won’t be writing these same words.
The 2026 International Women’s Day theme, #GiveToGain, feels especially meaningful. It reminds us that progress is not passive. It requires investment … of time, counsel, opportunity, and resources. When we give to women, everyone gains. Organizations grow stronger. Cultures improve. Economies expand. Innovation accelerates.
At She Runs It, every day is Women’s Day. And we give to gain in ways that multiply across our industry:
We mentor.
We connect.
We host leadership workshops and #Inclusive100 conversations.
We Futureproof our community for the workplace of tomorrow.
We fund Education Loan Grants that open doors for women so they can rise to their full potential.
We lift as we climb. We pay it forward. We celebrate the male allies who stand beside us. We build community as a strategy for change.
The results are palpable.
We see women stepping into leadership roles. We see confidence grow. We see networks expand. We see the next generation finding their voices earlier and stronger than the previous one.
That is what #GiveToGain looks like in action for She Runs It.
Our work is far from finished. But the momentum is real. And we are committed to this journey, however long it takes.
So this International Women’s Day, I invite you to ask: What can I give? Whose path can I clear? Who can I sponsor, mentor, fund, or champion?
Because when we invest in women, we move everyone forward.
And maybe, one day, we’ll make ourselves obsolete. Until then, we give. And we gain.
