About the Role:

Both our sites are in ambitious growth mode.  We are seeking a dynamic Account Executive to generate advertising revenue with client and agency partners. This role requires a persuasive, disciplined self-starter with a passion for sales goals through high-volumes of activity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key agency and brand side advertising and marketing decision makers on target accounts
  • Commit to a high activity sales culture, executing on outreach and call volume objectives
  • Generate Demand and Procure proposals/RFI’s from sales territory
  • Entertain and be in-market often, physically, in real life, connecting with customers and prospects.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
  • Work within current CRM tools to proactively prospect and document sales pipeline
  • Contribute to the overall growth of Gizmodo and Kotaku revenue initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Direct IO digital advertising sales role
  • Well established client/agency relationships, and/or strong proven ability to create new buyer/seller relationships. Preferably within Technology, Telecom, and Gaming verticals
  • Proven track record of delivering against set targets and objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital media, online marketing technology and competitive landscape
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of traditional as well as contemporary/online marketing tactics and strategy
  • An understanding of the programmatic, content marketing and branded content sales experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage market research and competitive intelligence to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Additional Job Details

Salary Range: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Base: $120,000 – $140,000 per year; On Target Earnings: $180,000 – $250,000
