Which member benefit are you looking forward to the most, or why did you join She Runs It?
As a member, I am most looking forward to my participation in the She Runs It Mentorship Program. I truly enjoy our meetings and the connections that I am making with my fellow Mentee and Mentor. I am also looking forward to fostering even more relationships and meaningful connections with my fellow She Runs It members through continued engagement in our networking opportunities and regular events.
What have you taken part in already or signed up to do?
I had the pleasure of attending a WNBA Atlanta Dream basketball game with my fellow SRI members this summer. I also attended the “Night of Networking Unplugged- Leveling the Playing Field: The Business of Uplifting Women’s Sports.” It was incredible listening to the panelists share their expertise and experiences within their various spaces, and how they are working to contribute to pushing forward Women’s sports. I am also a member of the Leadership Development Committee and the Executive Achievements Committee.
Which of these interests matches you best?
Top SRI interests for me would be networking, mentoring, coffee chats, technology, volunteering, and really anything where I am able to collaborate and share amazing advice and experiences with other empowered women in the industry. Who do you think is someone to watch in the industry?
Who do you think is someone to watch in the industry?
I think any woman making strides in the industry right now is one to watch. We are at a very pivotal time in history, and the fire and unity that we have as women are needed now more than ever. Angelique Taylor is currently revolutionizing and leading groundbreaking efforts in artificial intelligence with her work in ethical AI systems. She has founded InclusionAI, a startup dedicated to reducing algorithmic biases. Her upcoming collaborations with global tech firms confirm the need for this innovative platform in the industry. I’m excited to see what is next for this female pioneer!
What is something you are currently working on professionally that excites you?
I am currently excited about the upcoming midterm elections. In my current role, one of my main tasks is helping to facilitate and manage the political advertisements that air across our brands, but especially CNN. CNN is such a trusted news source in the industry, and it’s exciting to be at the helm of such an intricate process at such a pivotal time in history.
