June is a pivotal month – a time to honor history, celebrate progress, and lean into the values that drive meaningful, enduring change. For She Runs It, June is a powerful reflection of who we are and why we exist—to help women and underrepresented communities thrive in marketing, media, and tech.
Pride Month calls us to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and recommit to equity, inclusion, empowerment, and representation. These aren’t just words to us—they’re actions. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to lead and succeed as their authentic selves. Pride reminds us that progress isn’t always a direct path—it’s a shared, courageous journey.
On June 19, we observe Juneteenth, commemorating the end of slavery in the US. It’s a moment of celebration and reflection—a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much work remains. At She Runs It, Juneteenth reinforces our promise to push for equity, amplify Black voices, and break down the barriers that still stand in the way of opportunity.
And then there’s Cannes Lions, where the global industry comes together to spotlight bold ideas and visionary leadership. We’re proud to take the stage again this year with four sessions: Fearless Voices, Best of the Badass Bosses, She Runs It/He Gets It, and Lift As You Climb. These conversations will highlight trailblazers, allies, and rising stars who are shaping the future of our industry with creativity and conscience. Huge thanks to our sponsors for helping us raise our collective voice on one of the industry’s biggest stages: ADWEEK, Basis Technologies, Gratsy, GSTV, LG Ad Solutions, Mediaocean, Scripps, Sparks, Teads, TelevisaUnivision, Teton Ridge, TransUnion, Warner Bros. Discovery and Yieldmo.
All of these moments—Pride, Juneteenth, and Cannes—remind us that progress happens when we show up, speak up, and lift each other higher. So let’s celebrate how far we’ve come and stay committed to the work ahead. Because when more voices are heard, more leaders rise. And when we rise together, we go further—with pride and purpose.
